Mission 921 (2nd Draft)

Prisoner  Jett’s thoughts were a blur, and for a long, dreadful moment, he forgot his own name. But once he regained his memories, he remembered his mother’s warm smile as she called out to him. Jett remembered his master… no, no longer his “master”. His captor, glaring down at him and saying the words, “Failure is a crime punishable by death” and darkness. Was he in Hell now? Was this where the damned went after death? He heard the clinking of chains and the rattle of metal shackles. This was most definitely Hell. Jett didn’t want to face the Devil, but There’s more!!

A notice for the last several posts

So… If you are wondering why so many posts suddenly appeared after Mission 921, that’s because I decided to post a couple of things I found “decent” (decent meaning a tad better than the rest of my drafts). I wrote most of them a while back, so I apologize if they’re not interesting or contain too many grammar mistakes. But the next post is something that I’ve been working on for a while, and I personally think it’s getting better and better. It’s a second draft (fifth draft if you count the other three failed drafts that I tried starting There’s more!!

Mirroring Worlds

Chapter 1 I was new to Landon Academy, and what I didn’t understand was that the teachers had to pick this particular day to group us up. “Make a group of seven.” my art teacher said. I looked around as everyone went to their friends as if they’ve been told to do this multiple times. There was only one group left that had six people, so the teacher said, “Elesira, please join that group.” she gestured towards the group of six. Their eyes fell on me, and as one, several emotions crossed their faces. But most of them lingered on There’s more!!

Deep Bonds

Prologue The city of Eldarys is a dry place. So dry that when you walk out of your house, you get blisters and your skin cracks. The very earth that you walk on is scorching sand and cracked rock. When the wind blows, it can start fires, and when the sun reaches its highest peak, people die as each second passes. Our form of money, payment, and cash aren’t gold coins or valuable gemstones. It’s water. A single drop could get you a piece of dry fruit, and an entire flask of water can get you a small cottage. As There’s more!!

Elven Politics

Chapter 1 It’s simple. If you’re a High Elf, you can shapeshift and/or control powers. If you’re a Common Elf, you don’t have anything. I, unfortunately, am a Common Elf. My friend, the Crown Prince Imperial, is the Highest High Elf you can imagine. His spirit animal is the Golden Eagle. His other favorite animals include the wolf, the snake, and the snow leopard. But not only can he turn into every animal you can think of, he also inherited a trait that only the royal family has: the Great Dragon. And besides that, he has telekinesis, telepathy, and shadow There’s more!!
