Baldur’s Gate Guides

Create Infinite Max 25 Stat Characters

So, in case the title’s confusing, this is a guide on how to create as many characters you want with all 6 stats (Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma) at 25.

Note: This only works for BG1 EE (Baldur’s Gate 1 Enhanced Edition). It can technically work for BG2 EE (Baldur’s Gate 2 Enhanced Edition), but the process takes WAY longer. And… SPOILER ALERT BELOW!

So, the first step would be tedious, but after this first step, it’ll be much easier. It’s only a one time thing, so it’s totally worth it. Create a character and play through the game. There’s no need to do the side quests, just stick to the main storyline to save time. Also, you can put in on Story Mode if you don’t want to die, it doesn’t matter which mode it’s on.

Once you start the game, find the 6 attribute tomes.

The Constitution Manual can be found in the Pirate Cave at Seawatch.

The Charisma Tome in one of the caves at Gnoll Stronghold.

The Wisdom Tome can be found on the 3rd floor of Durlag’s Tower.

The Dexterity Manual can be found in the Thieves’ Guild in Baldur’s Gate.

The Intelligence Tome can be found in Ramizath’s Tower in Baldur’s Gate.

The Strength Tome can be found in the Candlekeep Catacombs.

This is the order I usually get them in, since Seawatch and the Gnoll Stronghold can be accessed before the Naskel Mines, and Durlag’s Tower after the Mines Quest. The three others would have to wait until after Baldur’s Gate is accessible.

Once you have all 6 tomes, export that character and restart the game.

In the main menu, create a new character. Make sure this character’s class, race, and proficiencies are the ones you want, because this is going to be the character whose stats are maxing out. The rolled stats don’t really matter, but I like to distribute them so they’re the same (all 14 or 15, that way, I can max out their stats in 1 or 2 goes, as opposed to Dex being at 19 and Wisdom being at 11, because then I have to export and import the character more times to get the Wisdom to 25, while Dex only takes 1 to 2 imports to get to 25. It’s just a waste of time, so might as well put them all to the same number. It may be lower than you usually put them, but they’re all going to end up at 25 anyway).

Once you’ve created your new character (the one whose maxing out their stats), select the “Create Party” option and import your old character (the one who played through the game to get the attribute tomes). Now, you can create up to six members for your party, and one slot is already taken up by your new character, so import the character who has the Attribute Tomes 5 times for the remaining 5 slots. Then start the game. (Difficulty setting doesn’t matter, because you’re not even going to step out of Candlekeep).

You’ll start with 6 party members, five out of the six would have attribute tomes. Give all the attribute tomes to the character whose maxing out their stats, then make them use the tomes. They’ll be able to raise every stat by 5, then export that same character. NOTE: Do NOT export the characters who had the attribute tomes.

Restart the game, import the same characters, except this time, don’t create a new character. Import that same character whose stats were raised by five, and use up the other 5 party member slots for the attribute tome character.

Start the game and do the exact same thing.

Eventually, you’ll have yourself a maxed out stat character. It takes roughly 10 minutes to max out a character’s stats using this process, so you can create an entire 6 member party, with all their stats at 25, within an hour. I did it, and believe me, it’s super fun!
