Animes I’ve watched/Manga I’ve read and my thoughts on them (MAJOR SPOILERS ALERT >_

Attack on Titan

We all know (or at least have heard of) Attack on Titan/AOT/Shingeki no Kyojin, right? Right! And it so happens that it was my first anime. I remembered in 7th grade when my friends were eating lunch and they started talking about it, but I never got into it until 8th grade (I think). Because it was called “Attack on Titan”, I always thought ‘Titan’ was a planet or something. I knew it was sci-fi, that’s all I knew. And it was something about an attack on the planet called ‘Titan’, but I watched the first episode and realized that Titans were basically just giants (I didn’t know what they truly were until the second season or something).

This is the only Manga I’ve read along with the anime, but because I’m more familiar with the anime, I’m probably just going to talk about the anime, even though the Manga explains a LOT more.

So my favorite character is… Levi Ackerman! I’m sure that’s obvious to all of you, because my name in the “about the author” thingy-majig on the side said I was called Arabelle Ackerman. I AM Asian, you know, just not nearly as powerful as the Ackerman family.

I’m sure a lot of people love Levi Ackerman, not just because he’s extremely powerful and “Humanity’s strongest soldier (or warrior, either one)”, but I like his personality. He’s calm, cold at times, but cares for his squad’s safety (both the original Levi Squad and the newer one). Plus his backstory is just tragic. He reminded me of Nico Di Angelo from Percy Jackson, and I grew to like him A LOT.

Now, I’m an Ereri shipper, and for those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s Levi/Eren. I’m sorry, but I don’t ship Mikasa/Eren, Hanji/Levi, Levi/Erwin, Amrin/Eren (is that even a thing?). I think Levi and Eren make a great couple, and I DON’T CARE IF LEVI’S FREAKING 30 AND EREN’S ONLY 19! I love those two together!

I was kind of surprised when I read the Manga and found out that there was another country across the sea, and everything made so much more sense when they explained where Bertoldt, Reiner, and Annie came from.

Another thing I love about the anime… THEME SONGS! Na na na na… JAGER! SASAGEYO! SASAGEYO! SHINZUO WO SASAGEYO! Dude, man, who doesn’t love the theme songs?

Yuri on Ice

I’m pretty sure this was my second anime. I haven’t watched a lot of animes, maybe only four or five, but I do like the style.

One thing that I love about Yuri on Ice is YURIO PLISETSKY!!! I do like Viktor, don’t get me wrong, it’s just that I prefer Yurio (Russian Yuri). And I also LOVE it when Viktor says, “VKUSNO!!!!!!!!!!” And his heart shaped mouth! AAAAWWWWWWW!

Second is the music. History Maker, Yuri on Ice, Eros, Agape…

And lastly, the ships!

One does not simply watch Yuri on Ice without shipping Vikturi and/or Otayuri!

You know? “Don’t stop us now! The moment of truth! We were… born to ship Vikturi!”

And the “Welcome to the Madness”? SQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Tokyo Ghoul

I believe this was my third anime… either that or Black Butler. These aren’t in order, just saying!

First, off… I didn’t find this out until later on while I was watching My Hero Academia.

AYATO WAS FREAKING VOICED BY THE SAME GUY WHO VOICED EREN FROM AOT, FINNIAN FROM BLACK BUTLER, AND TODOROKI FROM BNHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly wasn’t able to tell AT ALL. When I was introduced to Ayato, I was like, oh cool! So there’s this new guy who’s called Ayato Kirishima (his last name though… if you know what I mean? My Hero Academia? Sound familiar?)

Then when I realized that he was Touka’s younger bro, I was like “WHAAAAA???”. Then, when they showed us the flashback, I was like “Oh! I see!”

My favorite character from Tokyo Ghoul is Ayato. I like his “villain self”, and the way he acts. He may be a bit crazy on beating people up, so I would kinda want to tell him to chill at times, but hey! A character’s a character! As a fellow writer, I know!

I’ve only watched up to Season 2 (halfway maybe?). The animes I watch are like the stories I write. I end up writing them halfway and decide to stop. My friend’s brother told me that Tokyo Ghoul was the best thing in the Anime/Manga world, and his favorite character was Kaneki. The two of us talk about it all the time.

I know the “main character is especially special cuz they’re the main character” is a tad bit cliche for me (examples: Harry Potter, Throne of Glass, Attack on Titan, Percy Jackson, My Hero Academia, etc). But I still enjoy it from time to time. Kaneki is extremely powerful, I know this much, and that’s thanks to a lot of things that I don’t know because I tend to forget important details.

But all in all, I think it’s an interesting anime, and the first season got me really sucked in.

Black Butler

Again, another anime that I haven’t finished. I first saw this Manga when I was in the bookstore, but then I asked my friend about it and she said that it was AMAZING. So I started watching.

At first, I was very confused, because there was a little boy in a bright place, asking for a contract or something. I was like “wha…?” -_-?

But then everything cleared up when I found out that Sebastian was a demon and Ciel made a deal with him (is that how it went? I forgot, sorry). I didn’t really get the story line, though, which is kind of sad, because I want to figure out the story line right away. I guess that’s why I didn’t continue.

Death Note

Okay, Death Note itself is quite complicated. Because it was Light killing criminals, then L came along, then Light decided to join them for the sole purpose of not getting caught even though he did get caught in the end even though he killed L in the process of getting his memories back in the process of maintaining the Kira reputation meanwhile another girl comes along and gets a second Death Note from a second Shinigami (is that how you spell it?), then… *sigh*, I forgot the rest.

It’s just SUPER complicated. I got the first several episodes, but after the second Kira came along, I just lost everything. I knew there was a third Kira, and there was a second L (but that was from spoilers I accidentally caught in the “how to read Death Note or something-along-the-lines-of-that). I was completely shocked when L died, and I was like “DUDE! YOU’RE A GENIUS FOR A REASON!”

But, when Light planned ahead and erased his memories, that was cool. Of course, I was screaming and shaking the screen, trying to tell the characters that he was and is the original Kira and you should kill him right away.

But L’s and Light’s deduction skills are amazing (though, Light’s kinda cheating, since he already knows the answer… I mean, Shinigamis like apples?)

Then a third Kira came in, and I don’t even remember if it was before or after Light lost his memories. But I was really glad when Light regained his memories, because instead of being like “I’M GONNA AVENGE ME BESTEST BUDDY, L!”, he was like “I’m gonna avenge my bestest buddy, L, without anyone knowing that I’m actually faking my concern and I don’t even care about what happens as long as I get to be King of my new world, criminal-free!”

I honestly can’t find an alignment for Light. I guess the closest would be Lawful Evil-ish/Neutral perhaps? I get that he wants to get rid of all criminals, and that has everything to do with the law, but him believing that he’s doing the right thing doesn’t exactly make him evil, does it? I think that evil means that you know what you’re doing is not the lawful thing to do, but you do it anyways because you think that your reason is much better than the law. But if he thinks he’s Lawful Good when everyone else thinks he’s Chaotic Evil, I think that puts him in a unique position.

It’s a thing that’s debatable at another time.

Sword Art Online

Okay, so before you mentally kill me, I didn’t know SAO was so unpopular in the anime/manga world. I knew that people who loved it would love it very much, but people who hated it (which seems like the majority) hated it like it was their worst enemy.

I only got to episode 15/16, so I didn’t really get to see what happened. But when I read and watched Ready Player One, I found out a lot of similarities. A boy meets a girl on an online game (one called Sword Art Online, the other the OASIS), the boy saves the day, girl joins him, both came fight super well. Except for the fact that Kirito (I know that’s not his real name, but I don’t know his real name, so imma go with Kirito) and Asuna were stuck in the world while Wade was free to do whatever.

My Hero Academia

Okay, this is BY FAR one of my favorite animes of ALL TIME!

My Hero Academia is GREAT! Everything about it is GREAT! The characters are great! The story’s great! The everything’s great! Even the animation’s great!

My favorite character is… SHOTO TODOROKI! Voiced by the same dude who did Eren, Ayato, Finnian, etc! My second favorite character is Bakugo Katsuki! Aka, Kacchan! I don’t know why, I just love his character development. And in third, we have Izuku Midoriya, aka: Deku! And in fourth, I’m tied between Kirishima and Kaminari.

The first time I watched this (you know the first episode), I realized that Midoriya was actually bullied by his best friend. That happened to me when I was in Taiwan. They would seem like your best friend, but in the end, they think you’re nothing. So I was able to relate, though I know that Midoriya’s situation is much much worse than mine. At least I had friends in Middle School. Midoriya had no one until High School.

Sometimes I wished that I was in Class 1-A. I mean, who wouldn’t? The people are so nice! They tease each other! There’s no bullying! And there’s a funny-to-watch class president! A guy who could make friends with even Bakugo! And a homeroom teacher who does nothing but sleep on the job but actually cares for his students! And a guy who’s so nice to everyone and willing to go so far to become a hero!

I don’t know, if I were in that world, if I had a Quirk, it would be called Siren. And my hero name would be Siren too!

Basically, my quirk would be whenever I sing, whoever hears be would be completely under my control. And the harder the melody is, the more control I have over them. I love singing (especially opera and classical), and I think this Quirk is very similar to Sirens in Greek Mythology, when they would sing to lure the sailors to their deaths.

I have a mental list of points for the characters. So whenever a character does something I love and makes me like them even more, they get more points. Vice Versa. Tokoyami earned points when I read the My Hero Academia School Briefs (when he was at the Amusement Park? SQUEE!)

Todoroki was able to earn loads of points because I love his personality and he looks good too! (okay, everyone in this class looks good! Except for… an *ahem* exceptional few *cough cough*)

Midoriya earned the most points whenever they show his childhood scenes and his life as a little boy. It just made my heart melt and made me cry. Even my sister (who never cries unless it involves a puppy) teared up when Midoriya asked his mom if he could be a hero like All Might too. That scene… *sniff sniff*.

Bakugo earned the most points whenever they show his character development. Like when he would finally cooperate during their finals, and when he learned to respect other people (like Kirishima). And Bakugo is funny in his own way, so he earns points that way as well.

Fullmetal Alchemist+Brotherhood

Alright, alright, everyone knows the famous Edward Elric… THE PEA SIZED RUNT WHO DOESN’T DRINK HIS MILK WHO YOU CAN’T EVEN SEE UNDER THE MICROSCOPE!

Okay, okay, just kidding. But seriously, that guy is freaking 4 foot 11. That’s shorter than me! And I’m short compared to my friends who are taller but younger than I am! But I could relate to his irritation whenever someone calls him short.

I started this anime right after I finished My Hero Academia. It was recommended by a friend. He loves Fullmetal Alchemist. And when he told me about it, I asked “Does it have anything to do with Metal, and does it have anything to do with Alchemy?” He answered yes, so I started watching.

Of course, I didn’t know that by “Alchemy”, they meant “clapping their hands together and touching the object you want to equivalently exchange with, or if you haven’t seen the Truth dude or Gate, draw a circle with symbols in it called the Trasmutation Circle, then put your hands down and do whatever). I thought they practiced Alchemy like turning metal into gold. Apparently, they’re beyond that.

The most excited part ever was when Ed’s dad finally revealed what was on the other side of the gate. It was freaking our world! OUR WORLD! This makes me wonder whether or not I should try reviving the dead just so I can see Truth and ask him to give me a tour (then again, we don’t have automail or cyborgs just yet… so… where does that leave me?) Of their world! And of Amestris and Xing!

Then, after I was finished with Fullmetal Alchemist, I was like: WHERE’S MY GODDAMN SEQUEL??? I NEED THE SEQUEL!!!

Edward got freaking trapped in our world! In the middle of World War 2! When I saw the fighter planes (I don’t exactly know what they were called) and the blimps, I was like “Cool!”.

And how Fullmetal Alchemist ended in a cliff hanger where the two brothers promise to find each other again? Oh god…!

Now for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

At first, I was confused. I thought Brotherhood was the sequel to Fullmetal Alchemist, therefore I was like, “It’s alright. I’ve got another series ready to be watched!” but when I realized through the first episode that this wasn’t the sequel, I was like… wait, did they literally just end that in a cliff hanger and leave it like that so we can use our imagination to conjure up an ending? NO! THAT IS UNSATISFYING AND UNACCEPTABLE.

Then again… the ending to Conqueror of Shamballa was really sad and bittersweet… so…

But, of course, once I finished Conqueror of Shamballa, I wanted to see what Brotherhood was about, so I watched that.

It took me two weeks to finish it. But it was worth it! The story line was a bit different, but that was alright! At least Ed got his arm back and Al was human once again!

Still… the fact that Ed can’t use alchemy anymore was really sad. The same thing happened to both of them in Conqueror of Shamballa.

I don’t have a favorite character, really. It’s one of those series where you can’t decide who’s your favorite character because they’re all so funny and terrific!

But I do have a favorite Homunculus, and that’s Envy! I honestly don’t know why. Maybe I find him cool (yes, I use the pronoun ‘he’, ‘him’, and ‘his’ for Envy). And in both series, I found him the homunculus that I loved most. And the fact that he appeared in dragon/serpent form in Conqueror of Shamballa was also great! Though… Germany doesn’t really have a dragon… and I know Transylvania doesn’t have a vampire.

Okay, funny scenes… here we go.

Whenever Ed laughs at Roy and says he’s completely useless because he’s helpless whenever it rains. The same goes to whenever Riza Hawkeye tells him the exact same thing.

Whenever Al and Ed get beaten up by Winry and her wrench. For some reason, Ed always gets hit in the forehead. God… Winry’s deadly with that thing.

Whenever someone calls Ed small. He just gets so upset and it’s funny and cute at the same time!

Whenever Al and Ed get scared and get beaten up by their Sensei. It’s just hilarious how they’re both always calm and cool and laughing but when it comes to their teacher, they’re terrified.

Whenever Ed gets a shot (which only happened, like, once). My sister once asked me, “Hey, Ed can withstand getting his arm and leg chopped off, getting his nerves connected to his automail (which is EXTREMELY painful!), and metal poles being thrusted through his entire torso… but he can’t stand a single shot? Which is something EVERYONE gets used to after a while.”

I laughed. That’s actually true. He has high pain tolerance. Actually, I think every anime character does.

Ouran High School Host Club

Okay. My first impression of the club was this:

They call us commoners? EXCUSE ME?????!!!!!!!!

But I know that, in the end, they actually meant well, so I’m cool with it. I actually find it funny and cute whenever Tamaki just starts calling supermarkets “commoner markets” and gets so excited and screams, “Let’s go to the commoner’s market!”

My favorite character would have to be Kyoya. I don’t know if it’s the scene when he pins Haruhi on the bed in a menacing way or it’s his family background, but either way, he’s the financial man and the whole reason why none of the hosts have gone broke. His job is hard, man! Give yourself a pat on the back, dude! You deserve a couple of days off!

But, really, what exactly do they study there? I know Haruhi got in because of her off the chart grades, but if she got in, that means that they must study extremely hard stuff, since she got in because she is an honor student… but, we never get to see them do homework, and since the host club is there to please the girls who have too much time on their hands… does that mean the teachers there do… nothing?

WHAT KINDA SCHOOL IS THAT???!!!!!!! IS ALL THEY DO DRINK TEA IMPORTED FROM ENGLAND OR SOMETHING???

I ship Haruhi with someone, and that someone is Hikaru, I know he ends up with Tamaki (the king), but still… THE ACTORS ARE FREAKING MARRIED, OKAY??????

Also, Tamaki is so cuuuuuuuuuuute! And so is everyone else in the host club as well!!! Honey and Mori, the Hitachii twins, Tamaki-senpai, and KYOYA!!!

Free! (Iwatobi Swim Club)

Okay, so, I watched this and OHSHC because I wanted to understand a rap battle skit at an anime convention. After I finished these two animes, I found the skit hilarious and awesome. Though, I can’t say who won, because both animes are awesome!!!

My favorite character from Free is Rin Matsuoka. I took the boyfriend test and I got Makoto Tachibana, but I love all of them!!!

You know how Rin was introduced to us at the very beginning as an adorable child, then he came back after, like years, as a bad*ss. Then after the first season, he just became a cinnamon roll!!! You know his accent when he speaks English? It’s mostly Japanese, but it has a sprinkle of Australian and it’s so cool and… I don’t want to say it, because it’s kind of embarrassing… hot.

You know, my sister thinks Nagisa is adorable, and he is. He’s a penguin! He’s so cute and so innocent! You know 50% off? Yeah, that broke my heart and mended it at the same time. After I watched 50% off, I wasn’t able unhear “Thugisa’s” voice. But their cover on Splash Free is hilarious.

Speaking of endings…

OMG!!!!! SPLASH FREE AND FUTURE FISH ARE JUST SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ADORABLE! SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!1

Rin’s a freaking police officer, and if you’ve ever seen him in that ending… holy crap, *intense nose bleed, I drown in my own blood*!!!!! Makoto’s adorable being a firefighter, and Haru’s a freaking mermaid! While Rei’s a scientist and Nagisa’s an astronaut!!!

You know, literally everyone in that anime’s adorable. Nitori’s just plain cute and he copies Rin! He’s so adorable!!!

Kuroko no Basket

I’m pretty sure this was the anime I watched after Free, Iwatobi Swim Club. You see, I downloaded this anime trivia game, and I played the Athletic Animes and they mentioned Kuroko no Basket, so here I go.

You know, their coach… I’m sorry, but she’s just horrible at cooking. They should get Taiga to do the cooking. And you know how Kagami’s scared to death of dogs? It’s so cuuute!

But that one time when Midorima wanted to jump shoot Tetsuya #2? Oh my god, I was so angry and worried at the same time. I was like, “MIDORIMA, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Of course, I think Kuroko’s adorable too. Whenever he takes Tetsuya #2 to Kagami and tries to convince him that the puppy’s adorable, and Kagami’s just like, “No! Stop! I’ll kill you later, Kuroko!!!”

You know, I always wonder what would happen if Kagami joined the Generation of Miracles. Would he be team captain (since he beat *cough cough* Akashi even with his *cough cough* emperor eye).

Also, Last Game is really cool. I loved it when Aomine and Kagami came to defend Kuroko from those freaking idiot bullies from America! They looked like brothers, and I loved their relationship!!!

Fruits Basket

Okay, let me make this clear:

Ahem… KYO IS THE BEST BOYYYYYY! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! HE’S SO GOD FREAKING ADORABLE AND TSUDERE!!! HE’S SO CUUUUUUUUUTE!!!!!

I mean, Yuki’s cute and very responsible as well, but Kyo is so cute!

And Yuki’s brother? I forgot his name, but his appearance reminds me of Viktor from Yuri on Ice. And he’s an author! But I feel so sorry for his editor who needs to go through all the pain and stress to publish his books! I’ll try not to do that to my editor if I become an author, hehe.

And the cow? Oh my god, I’m forgetting all their names. But he’s so funny! Especially that one part when it was all dramatic and he just suddenly gets on his bike and pedals off. I was laughing so hard. His dark side is really cool.

Torhu is an angel. She’s literally an angel, and one of the nice characters that I actually like. Sometimes I’ll find the sweet and nice characters a tad bit annoying, but Torhu is so nice! I respect her, and she works hard! KYO! YUKI! YOU’D BETTER TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER OR ELSE THE GODDAMN FANDOM’S COMING AFTER YOU!!!

Food Wars

Okay, I only went up to the training camp arc, but I have a decent idea of the storyline, so I’ll talk about it.

Literally, they make cooking look epic. It’s like how Death Note makes writing look epic. For some reason, anime just makes normal day to day stuff look epic. Hell, I’m sure if Levi powered through his daily cleaning, I’m sure that’ll be on par with him vs the Beast Titan fight or Kenny Squad fight.

Sohma is talented as heck, but the only thing is the fact that he also wants to experiment with foods to see how gross he can make them. Because of this anime, I kinda want to try peanut butter and squid just to see how bad it really is.

Megumi needs more credit. She’s a good cook! She just lacks self confidence!

And the other girl (I forgot her name, but she’s the one who holds herself in a super high position)… okay, she’s an incredible cook, but… I don’t like her. I just don’t like people who are bossy and thinks they’re better (even though she probably is better than everyone else in the freaking academy).

Fairy Tail

I’m pretty sure this wasn’t the anime I watched after Fruits Basket, but eh, it’s okay. Don’t kill me for it. I like Fairy tail. I know it doesn’t have any character development, but it’s cute and emotional, and the music is just awesome, so bear with me, please! Or skip this one if you like.

I think the character I find most interesting is probably Juvia. She’s so cute whenever she refers to herself in 3rd person, and she would do anything for Gray. Sure, it’s creepy at times, but other times, I just find them plain adorable!

One thing I can definitely relate to Lucy is being an author. Whenever people want to read my stories, I’m just like, “NOOOOOOOOOO! YOU CAN’T! IT’S HORRIBLE! IT’S NOT READY YET!!!!” It’s so scary and embarrassing, so Lucy, as a fellow writer, I understand!

Natsu’s just there for comedy relief, to be honest. He’s so cute and funny, but whenever he gets serious, I’m just like, “Well, let’s get ready for another ten episodes of epic showdown!”

And you know Fairy Tail’s split into different arcs, and everyone is more emotional than the last. Especially the Tenroe Island Arc. That was emotional. And the Edolas one was also very cool. But when they had to say goodbye to Mystogan? I was crying, even though it was probably more the music than the actual farewell. It was emotional, okay??

Honestly, I think Erza is more of a warrior than a mage. She fights more than she uses her magic, even though her magic is perfectly fit for battle, she uses weapons conjured by that magic.

And Levy? She’s a bookworm and I respect that. Another thing is that Gajeel’s singing is the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. I like it.

I kinda ship Laxus with Freed. Don’t ask me why, I just do. It’s like how I ship Natsu and Lucy, Erza and Jellal… speaking of which…

JELLAL, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT HALF KISS, HUH???? AND LYING ABOUT YOU HAVE A FIANCEE! YOU MADE THE ENTIRE FANDOM FRUSTRATED, YOU KNOW THAT???

You know, during the Magic Games arc, I was like, “Cool! 7 years after, let’s see how good they are!” And during the second Grand Magic Games after Fairy Tail disbanded and Natsu appeared, I was like, “YESSSS! SHOW THEM HOW IT’S DONE, NATSU! WHOO!”

Assassination Classroom

Karma’s my favorite character and no one can tell me otherwise. Nagisa is cool, and he is dangerous as heck, but I still like Karma. He’s a prankster and a devil, but he’s so cute! Especially his soft and gentle voice! And whenever he takes out wasabi and horse radish to stick in someone’s nose… oh god…

Koro Sensei is the best sensei ever! (Well, Aizawa’s not that far off, but Koro Sensei’s funny and cute). I wish he were my teacher. The fact that they had to kill him broke my heart! I wish they didn’t need to do that…

But I thought Nagisa was the a girl at first, since Nagisa is a girl’s name and his physique is very feminine. But when Koro Sensei referred to him as a “he”, I was like, “Wait… WHAT?????”

Well, there goes my ship of Nagisa x Karma… *sigh* life can be cruel at times…  I don’t mind if they were going to become a gay couple, Yuri and Viktor’s adorable, and so can Nagisa and Karma. But the anime ended, and I don’t know if the Manga continued (it probably didn’t, since Koro Sensei was killed. Unless if this is like Fullmetal Alchemist where the anime went WAY off from the Manga, then that’s a different story), so my hopes of Karma and Nagisa getting together is probably less than 1%.

Ritsu is cool.

Blue Exorcist

The Okumura brothers seriously remind me of Ed and Al. Oh my god, the younger one is more mature and way more composed than the older… haha! I saw so much in common between the two!

Rin… his name’s Rin! I was so happy, which instantly gave him an extra couple of points on my “like” list! Rin Matsuoka is my favorite character from Free, and Rin from Blue Exorcist isn’t far off. I like him! He’s like Natsu, short tempered and adorable, but his relationship with his brother is very cute too!

But whenever he fights, it’s so cool. His blue flames make him look awesome, and his katana! You know, when I heard that the highest rank someone can get in the Exorcist world is the Paladin, I thought it would be like Dungeons and Dragons when you have to devote yourself to a god and carry a two handed sword wherever you go. But Rin wants to be a Paladin, so I’m like, “Well… I’ve never heard of a Paladin who uses a katana, but… okay?”

Haikyuu

Okay, this is one of the animes that PUNCHED me in the stomach! It’s SO FREAKING GOOD! The characters are the most adorable things on this PLANET! And the storyline is just… AAAAAHHHHH!!!!

I DO have a favorite character, and his name is Nishinoya. He’s so ADORABLE! And so freaking INTENSE! And he looks GOOD! And that little tuft of dyed hair makes him look like an adorable delinquent!!!

The first time I saw him was basically when he first came back. But on the episode before that, Daichi said something like, “Don’t worry. Besides… he’s coming back.”

And I thought to myself, “Well, it’s a sports anime, so it must be a prodigy or something like that! Okay, okay, we got a new character that’s about to be introduced, okay… okay, let’s see what he’s like!”

And when I saw him, I was like, “Okay, he looks like the type of person who’ll get in trouble, but he seems nice and stuff.” And that was when I slowly started falling in love with Noya-senpai!

He’s also voiced by the guy who did Bakugo and Karma and Rin (Okumura, not Matsuoka). But it was pretty obvious. Once Hinata said something about Noya-san being short, he freaked and started yelling. And I was like, “*GASP!* This… is… BAKUGO!!!” and I screamed.

Yes, I have a second favorite character, and his name is Tsukishima Kei. He’s just so sassy and doesn’t care and I love him so much!!! He listens to music, he has a semi-tragic backstory, I mean… WHO DOESN’T LOVE THAT???

Of course, I have a lot of other favorites (cough cough, all of them). I like Kuroo from Nekoma, and Bokuto and Akaashi! I think Bokuto’s the cutest out of all of them, and the coolest one! Mainly because of his emo mode and the way he asks for Akaashi’s approval… *SQUEAAAA!!!!*

You know, I watched a video on Suga’s VA singing Under the Sea, and it was the most ADORABLE THING EVER!!!!! His laughs and he sounded like he was having so much fun!!!!!

Alright, ships… Well, I kinda ship Daichi with Suga, mainly because Daichi is the dad and Suga’s the mom, and then Asahi’s just the uncle with his son, Noya-san (Sorry, I ship them as father/son or brother/brother, not as boyfriends), and then there’s Noya-san’s older brother, Tanaka. And then on Suga and Daichi’s side of the family, there’s Tsukki, the eldest brother, along with the only brother he tolerates: Yamaguchi, who is younger than him. And then we’ve got Kageyama, the middle child, who hates his older brother Tsukki and younger brother Hinata. And then Hinata being the youngest and follows everything his older cousin brothers, Noya and Tanaka, do. And then there’s Ennoshita, the ONLY calm and composed one out of the children. He’s a cousin who lives with the Sawamura and Sugawara family.

You know, in the dub voice, I feel like the only voices that actually fit are Kuroo’s, Bokuto’s, and Tendou’s. Especially Tendou’s singing, it was cute but kinda scary at the same time.

So yeah, they’re adorable!

But emotional stuff… THE FREAKING THIRD YEARS GRADUATED AND NOW HAIKYUU IS HAPPENING 5 YEARS LATER AFTER NATIONALS IN THE MANGA!!!!! *SOBS*

Honestly, I wanted them to stay in High School forever! And now… now look at them! All grown up and… *sniff* taking jobs… my dear Suga’s an elementary school teacher, and our favorite teddey bear, Asahi’s a designer… and good ol’ Daichi’s a police officer… IT”S SO FREAKING SAD!!!

And Tanaka’s married to Kiyoko-san… who would’ve thought??!! My favorite Noya-san’s fishing for marlins in Italy, and our first years… Tsukki’s getting ready to take a job in a museum, Yamaguchi works for an electronics company, Kageyama’s on the GODDAMN OLYMPIC TEAM FOR FREAKING GODS SAKES!!! And our Hinata… our baby crow… is practicing volleyball and being a delivery boy in Brazil!!!

Let’s not even mention Kenma’s life, I mean, that boy’s RICH AS HELL!!! He’s a freaking CEO, YouTuber, professional gamer, etc. I mean, professional gamer I can understand, but YouTuber and a freaking CEO OF HIS FREAKING OWN COMPANY??? *sigh* they grow up so fast…

I honestly wonder if they’re going to get together to play volleyball again! Just imagine it! Hinata takes a plane back to Japan, and he trolls the Olympic practice sessions, yelling, “OI! IS THERE, BY ANY CHANCE, A KAGEYAMA-KING TOBIO, HERE?”

And then Kageyama comes out running at full speed and Iida mode, and yelling”HINATA, BOKE!”

Then Hinata’s face lights up, “Kageyama! Great timing! Let’s go!” and drags him out of the gymnasium. “We’re gonna have a reunion!”

Then they crash into the police station, screaming, “DACHI-SAN!!! WHERE ARE YOU???” And Officer Daichi comes walking out of his office, “Nani–”

“DAICHI!!!” The once first years cry and drag him out, “We’re going to have a reunion party and volleyball match! Let’s go!”

And what would they do at the elementary school? Wait until after school has ended and barge into Suga’s classroom, yelling, “SUGA-SAN… I mean, SUGA-SENSEI!!!” And Suga’s like, “What the heck are you guys doing here???”

And then they have a match once everyone’s gathered! It brings tears to my eyes!!! Hopefully… they will have a volleyball match again… together… as a team!

Love Stage

Okay, yeah, a BL. But it’s SUPER CUTE!!!

I stumbled across this gemstone when I was watching Haikyuu radios and broadcasts, then I saw Nagisa and Bokuto on the same vid, and I was like, “Wow, okay, let’s go watch it!”

They were talking about BL manga and where they hid them, and then the title, “Love Stage” came. I was curious, so I watched it… and, here I am!

Honestly, the characters that the VAs voiced for Free are so similar to the characters they voice in Love Stage! Nagisa and Rei are voiced by the same  VAs who voiced Izumi and Rei! And the Rei even shares the same freaking name as Rei!

The couples are cute, and Ryoma’s adorable. HECK IT! THEY’RE ALL ADORABLE!!!! Izumi and Rei are so similar to Nagisa and Rei, and the fact that they share the same voice actors is crazy!!! I mean, Rei even LOOKS like Rei! And Nagisa and Izumi aren’t far off either!

But… it’s too bad. Izumi and Ryoma are a couple, while Rei and Shougo are a couple, so yeah… but I get it! They’re adorable too, so I won’t interfere! Besides, Rei’s a bit too old for Izumi, despite being the same age in Free, AND being shipped as Reigisa.

Vampire Knight

Okay, let’s take a moment to appreciate the fact that Zero’s Japanese VA and English VA voiced a bunch of the SAME FREAKING CHARACTERS!!! They both voiced Zero, Rin, Light, Tamaki, and a bunch of other stuff!

But, I hate to say this, Zero’s dub voice just doesn’t work for him, in my opinion. And maybe I’m biased, cuz Zero’s Japanese voice is really soft and honestly kinda bored, while every time I hear the dub voice, all I hear is Edward Elric! Haha! No, seriously! I DO!!! Every time, no matter what line he says, all I hear is Edward Elric!!! It’s funny and kinda annoying at the same time, since I want to hear Zero speaking English, but all I hear is Ed!

And Clan Kaname… let’s just say that every time they said Dorm President Clan, I get kind of confused, because I’m like, “There’s a clan of Dorm Presidents? Oh wait, no, that’s his last name! Haha!” But the name “Clan” just really confuses me a lot sometimes.

And you know who Yuki reminds me of? Torhu Honda from Fruits Basket! She does, really! And Kaname reminds me of Yuki, and Zero is Kyo! Although he’s only Kyo when he’s angry or annoyed. Besides, Zero and Kyo are both the tsundere types!

Except, Kaname is kinda… I dunno. He’s arrogant, I guess. Like, he doesn’t care about any girl EXCEPT for Yuki, which is understandable, but he can be a bit nicer about it, even though he rarely talks to any girls, and he calls Yuki “Yuki”… without the chan. I can’t really describe Kaname, or rather, I don’t have the words to describe him. He’s gentle, for sure, but he makes it really hard for me to figure out whether or not he sees Yuki as a sister or a lover (and yes, I’m not done with the anime yet, so bear with me, please!).

Zero… Zero is miserable enough to be in Les Miserables… I’m serious! Like, the boy had his family killed, got betrayed by his brother which he loved a lot, he got turned into a vampire, suffered for 4 years, and amidst all this mumbo jumbo… I STILL CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHETHER OR NOT HE LIKES YUKI!!! I mean, it’s pretty obvious he cares for her, and hates himself for drinking her blood, but none of the boys are showing whether or not they care for her as a sister or a lover and it’s driving me nuts… AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Like, unlike Fruits Basket, where it’s FREAKING OBVIOUS that Kyo and Yuki both like Torhu in a romantic way, this FREAKING anime is driving me CRAZY!!! WHO DO YOU LIKE, HUH? MAKE UP YOUR FREAKING MIND!!! WHY MUST THEIR PERSONALITIES BE SO FREAKING HARD TO FREAKING DECIPHER!!??

Demon Slayer

So, let’s talk the art of breathing, huh?

TANJIRO IS ADORABLE AND NEZUKO IS ADORABLE AND ZENITSU IS ADORABLE AND INOUSKE NEEDS TO CHILL THE F OUT!

I absolutely LOVE the colors and the art style! The way that the anime switches between styles when illustrating the breathing techniques and the contrast between the different types of breath. Like, while water is all blue, white, and it flows, fire is definitely more aggressive, and the color use of red and gold can practically blind you!!

Also, Rui’s VA is Tsukki and Shigaraki!!! SQUEAAAAAAA! AND SABITO IS TODOROKI!!!! I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I FINALLY HEARD MY FAVORITE BOYS! I was like, “Huh, okay, new people… they sound familiar… hey, they sound just like Tsukki and Todoroki… BY THE GODS THEY ARE TSUKKI AND TODOROKI!!!”

Nezuko is the most adorable thing ever. Especially when she shrinks into a small girl! And the small noises she makes when she’s running? It’s SO FREAKING CUTE!!!

Alright, I’m pretty sure you guys already know who my favorite character is. I love Todoroki. I love Levi. So come on, it has to be the one and only TOMIOKA GIYUU! THE EPIC WATER PILLAR! HELL YEAH!

He’s so hot!! Especially when he first fought Tanjiro, and his voice! Oh my god, he is so awesome!!!! He killed Rui, and he’s so freaking powerful! His backstory with Sabito is the saddest thing ever, though!!! *SOBS

Cells at Work

So, my very first science anime! I never have to fail biology anymore!

Haha… so I thought…

Okay, first off, WHITE BLOOD CELL IS THE CUTEST AND HOTTEST THING EVER!!!! HE IS SO IMPASSIVE AND OBLIVIOUS AND ADORABLE AND SO FREAKING CUUUUTE!!!! BUT WHEN HE FIGHTS GERMS, IT’S THE HOTTEST THING EVER!!!!

Red Blood Cell. She is so adorable! And she’s so freaking clumsy, and that little lock of hair that just bounces up and down whenever she’s excited? It’s so cute!!!

I would admit, though, Cells at Work really helped with my cell unit in Biology. It’s like how after watching Haikyuu, I liked to think I knew everything there was to know about volleyball, I even tried playing volleyball!

The macrophage ladies are scary as heck, I’ll give them that. They’re all like, “Ara ara, are you okay, little one?” But then they kill germs and they’re like, “There you go, off with your head!” All while with a smile on their faces! It’s creepy as heck!!!
