My name’s Elesira. Obviously, that’s not my real name, but we’re just gonna go with that for now!
I guess I can just tell you a little about myself, since the page IS titled “About the Author”
Here are the basics: I was born and raised in Taiwan, but moved to California, so now I’m here!
I absolutely love reading and writing, in case you haven’t figured it out by now. I’m also a certified Geek/Nerd/Otaku.
I love the old RPG games from the 1990s and early 2000s like Baldur’s Gate 1+2, Heroes of Might and Magic 3. and XCOM E.W. I’m still looking for someone to play BG1 and 2 with, though… everyone my age doesn’t know a thing about them, and my fellow DnD geeks are the closest I have! So… if you’re out there, and you’re a Generation Z BG1+2 player, PLEASE comment down below!!!
I also love movies, everything from Gladiator to Aliens to Roman Holliday to James Bond, yeah, I watch a HECK lot of movies. Some of my favorites include the Princess Bride, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Star Trek remakes. Speaking of Star Trek, I’m a fan of Star Trek AND Star Wars, so… yeah! Star Trek TNG, Voyager (we’re probably not going to talk about that, though…), etc.
Tabletop games? Well, mostly Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering. For D&D, I’ve played 1st, 2nd, and 5th edition. 1st and 2nd because of my dad’s old-fashioned ways of playing D&D, and 5th because I joined my school’s D&D club and had to pick up the mechanics quickly. As for MTG? I’ve played every color BUT black. I don’t know, there’s something about black that doesn’t settle well with me. No, it’s not the death, if it was the death, I wouldn’t be playing Red right now. I think it’s because my sister plays black, and I want to show her that I can win without playing death. So… yeah.
I also play other “normal” boardgames too! So, stuff like Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Risk, Cosmic Encounter, Pandemic (Playing Pandemic in the middle of the pandemic was quite funny but dark at the same time).
So, the Nerd part is quite self explanatory. As you can see from my posts and pages on books, I’m a nerd. I love reading and I love writing.
As for the Otaku part, I’ve entered this fandom quite late. At the beginning of 8th grade. Attack on Titan was my first anime, and boy oh boy, was it bloody as HECK! And you know what my second anime was? You’d think it was something like Tokyo Ghoul or Naruto, something action-packed and bloody, but NO! It was… Yuri on Ice. Yes, you read that right. A Shojo anime (meaning it was most likely made for girls). But I absolutely loved it!!! So yeah, that was how I became the otaku who loved Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan while fangirling over the hot Iwatobi/Samezuka swim club boys from Free and doting over the puppy-eyed Tamaki and intelligent/hot Kyoya from Ouran High School Host Club.
But yeah, that’s just a little bit about me. I love mangoes. And watermelon.
